Congratulations to Timothy Allan of Spotsylvania County, who won last week's Weekly Challenge on Fredericksburg.com.
The contest was about Sunday's Daytona 500, and Timothy was the most prophetic of all entrants. He correctly picked the winning driver and car type and was within 5.3 mph of the winning speed. Timothy won a $50 gift certificate to the Bug Box insect zoo in Spotsylvania County and earned 10 points in the overall standings.
This week's contest is now posted at fredericksburg .com/weeklychallenge. It's about the Academy Awards, which will air Sunday. It's free to enter, and you have until noon Friday.
The contest asks you to predict who will win awards in categories including acting, directing, screenplays and best overall picture.
The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Heaven Scent Florist on State Route 3 in Spotsylvania County--perhaps giving him or her a chance to make up for that soggy Valentine's Day.
