Well, Mr. and Mrs. Taxpayer, they are at it again.
After being labeled "catty" (catty? give me a break), vulgar, and arrogant by an apparent apologist and excuse generator for the latest group of self-serving politicians in Washington, I feel some clarification to my Jan. 11 letter is needed ["Pelosi's lazy and arrogant 'fresh start': Not so different, is it?"].
I am simply one of millions of hard-working, tax-paying, legal American citizens who is increasingly fed up and disgusted watching my and my children's future squandered by self-serving, egotistical idiots (read: politicians) whose main concern is maximizing the voting pool to continue this latest charade come the next election.
It is a sad state of affairs when a vote has to be cast for a candidate based on that person's being the lesser of two evils rather than the one most qualified to conduct the people's business.

If you want to see "catty," vulgar, and arrogant behavior, try watching 30 minutes of a House or Senate session on C-SPAN. Have the Maalox handy.
Oh, by the way, I recently read that after a whopping month and a half "on the job," largely spent debating a worthless, divisive nonbinding resolution against the Iraq war, our hard-working representatives are about to take yet another week off.
