Shenandoah National Park is springing to life for the 2007 summer season. Consult the following schedule and have fun.
Big Meadows Wayside will be open the first three weekends in March and will open for the season on March 23.
Skyland Resort will open March 30 and Big Meadows Lodge will start serving guests on April 5.
Big Meadows Campground will open March 23,
Dundo Group Campground and Lewis Mountain Campground will open April 13, Loft Mountain Campground opens May 18, while Mathews Arm Campground will open on May 25.
Pinnacles Picnic Ground is currently open.
The remaining picnic grounds will operate as follows: Dickey Ridge April 6, Big Meadows March 23 and Lewis Mountain April 13.
Loft Mountain Picnic Ground will be closed for the season.
Elkwallow and South River Picnic Grounds remain closed because of damage from a November ice storm and will reopen when repairs are finished.
Elkwallow Wayside will open April 5, while Lewis Mountain Cabins and Lewis Mountain Campstore will open on April 13. Loft Mountain Wayside will be open May 5 and 6, May 12 and 13, and will open for the season on May 18. Loft Mountain Campstore and Loft Mountain Shower and Laundry will open on May 18.
