Eagles men fall to McDaniel in lacrosse

The University of Mary Washington men's lacrosse team fell into an early hole and could not recover in a 12-5 loss to McDaniel College yesterday at the Battleground athletic complex. The Eagles (2-3) were paced by Sean Brown's two goals and two assists. Pete Collins, Ryan Motyka and Matt Morrell each added a score. Eric Everitt had eight saves in goal for UMW. The Eagles will host York College Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.

MEN'S TENNIS

The 11th-ranked Eagles defeated No. 9 Redlands 6-3 in California yesterday, as No. 2 Randy Loden and No. 6 Jon Pollak both won their singles matches, and teamed up for UMW's sole doubles victory yesterday.

Mary Washington No. 1 John James, No. 4 Jason Dunn and No. 5 Evan Goff also won.
