North gets victory off of Johns' double

Casey Johns' sixth-inning double scored Patrick Kuhns from first base to lift North Stafford's baseball team to a 3-2 district win against Stafford last night.

Matt Johns and John Tate also had RBIs for North Stafford (9-7-1, 7-3), which plays at Massaponax next Friday.

Justin Barnes and Logan Watts provided a pair of three-run homers for the Bears, who scored 15 runs in two innings in a comeback victory over the visiting Foxes.

It was Barnes' eighth blast of the season. Matt Lacik added three hits for the winners. Ryan Carroll and Joe Dodd each had two hits for King George.

Riverbend (11-7, 7-3) hosts Chancellor on Friday.
