THE VIRGINIA Dressage Association Fredericksburg Chapter sent three teams to compete in the United States Dressage Federation Region 1 Youth Team Competition at Morven Park July 21-22.

The competition was the best the region could offer with 150 competitors from five states.

The First Level team members were Ashley White, Justine Hryczaniuk, Heidi Siegmund and Hannah Lucas. They won the championship ribbons for their division. Justine Hryczaniuk was the team's high scorer with a 69.153 percent average.

There were two Introductory Level Teams. The first consisted of Peyton Morris, Melissa Humphrey, Samantha Seitz and Hannah White. This VADAF youth team were also named champions of their division with an overall score of 65 percent. Hannah White had the team's high average (68.5). Melissa Humphrey received the highest single score (70 percent) and received the Reserve High Point award.

The second VADAF Intro team members were Jo Ann Capra, Madison Stuck and Hayley Chisholm who finished fifth. Madison Stuck posted the team's highest average with a 65 percent.

The three VADAF teams' name is the Outlaws, so they decorated their stall doors in a Western motif. The Wanted Posters that hung on their stall doors were a favorite with judges, and the Outlaws won the Overall Stall Decorating Award. They also won a Stable Management Award for their clean stalls and well-groomed horses.

Each team member was allowed to enter one individual class during the competition and the results follow:

Hannah Lucas--third in First Level Test 1.

Heidi Siegmund--fifth in First Level Test 1.
