The Jewish holiday begins Dec. 4. For those who still need presents, the Beth Sholom Temple shop has a large selection of gifts. The store is open in the lobby of the southern Stafford synagogue, Mondays through Thursdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Wednesday evenings, 7 to 8 p.m.; and Fridays and Sundays, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Beth Sholom Temple is located at 805 Lyons Blvd. in England Run. Dreidels: The spinning toys range from 15 cents for small, plastic dreidels to $42 for a hand-painted, nesting dreidel from Russia. There are also collectible dreidels and crystal ones and a stuffed dreidel for the family dog.
Jewelry: a wide range of necklaces and bracelets feature Stars of David, Hebrew letters and other Judaic symbols.
Gelt: Chocolate coins for playing the Dreidel game are very popular with the young shoppers. They can choose between a large coin or a bag of smaller ones.
Menorahs: They come in all shapes and sizes and range from $20 to $70. A tin menorah holds the candles and matches and is very popular for parents to send to their college students. Other menorahs include stained glass, pewter and hand-painted ceramic versions.
Games: The shop features games children can play year-round: Mitzvah Math, Dreidel Roulette
