Content, not ‘puffery,’ for election guides Date published: 11/14/2007
The Nov. 5 front page offered the banner headline that stated “By-the-numbers election information.” As a local resident who travels a great deal and must usually settle for the online edition of the paper, I bought a copy thinking that the above banner headline offered an election guide. No such luck. You have simply devoted 30 percent of the front page to an admonition to vote on Nov. 6, along with some interesting but hardly useful statistics about the election. How about a little more content and a little less puffery? Geoffrey L. Hughes Fredericksburg
