Virginia organization helps find children and coaches. 
Date published: 11/14/2007 During this adoption awareness month, a Virginia-based company is helping offer education and assistance. Adoption's Together Director Janice Goldwater says the first steps are to know you want to adopt and to know what type of child you want, young or older. She says it is also important to be serious about adoption and be emotionally and financially ready. They will provide child rearing counseling and adoption coaching, but prospective parents have to be ready. The process includes; searching, patience, paperwork, a home inspection and a number of background checks.
