Motorists may call 511 from a cell phone for updates.
Date published: 11/20/2007 VDOT is suspending temporary road work this week to help drivers with their holiday getaway. The suspension starts at noon on Wednesday on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge project and the 295 flyover in Richmond. Spokesman Jeff Caldwell says HOV restrictions will also be lifted on I-95, 395 and I-66. There will be no new construction added but barrels and other items needed for long-term projects will stay in place. The road work will resume as normal after noon on Friday. Caldwell says if people want information on construction, road conditions or accidents, log onto http://www.511virginia.org or call 511 from a cell phone.
