I want to thank the people of the 88th District for allowing me to continue to represent them in the Virginia House of Delegates; it is an honor. This was a very rough campaign, but we won a landslide victory despite being significantly outspent, thanks to the support and hard work of many friends throughout the area. Campaigns always take a lot of work and money; no candidate can be successful on his own. I am truly grateful for the support. I spoke with many people during the campaign, and want to assure everyone that I will do my best to represent their interests in Richmond and work hard on issues such as transportation, illegal immigration, and education. I will continue to stand for the sound, conservative principles that have made the commonwealth a great place to live, raise a family, and work. The 2008 General Assembly session will begin in January, so please feel free to contact me and share thoughts about legislation and issues that will be considered. Again, thank you for all your help and support. Mark Cole Spotsylvania Del. Mark Cole represents Virginia’s 88th District.
Notice the difference between Mark Cole's gracious letter in victory and that of sore loser "Commander" Del Toro, who felt obliged to take a cheap shot at Delegate Cole's "poor leadership" record. I found it very gratifying that despite a massive infusion of out of state money, "the commander" lost big time. And his attempted slick - but obviously deceptive - attempt to switch his pro-amnesty record, fell flat on voters' ears. Maybe in liberal Arlington, Del Toro, but not down here.
