A vehicle that was reported stolen from the Culpeper Town Mall Sunday was recovered about two miles away on the Eggbornsville Road around midday yesterday.

The Town Mall businessman notified police about 10:45 Sunday morning that he had watched his 2008 Ford F-450 pickup leave the shopping center parking lot, according to Lt. Chris Settle. He could not see who was driving.

Sheriff's Deputy Terry Graham spotted the abandoned vehicle about 11 a.m. yesterday and alerted the town police.

Police are investigating the incident but no arrests have been made, Settle said.
