Holiday closings Date published: 12/31/2007
The following schedules will be affected by the New Year's Day holiday:
GOVERNMENT All city, county, and state government offices, including the Virginia Employment Commission and DMV, will be closed today and tomorrow. The federal government will be closed tomorrow. ABC stores will be closed tomorrow. TRASH SERVICE City trash trucks will make tomorrow's trash and recycling pickups on Wednesday. Belman Road Recycling Center, Stafford Landfill and Livingston Landfill in Spotsylvania will be closed tomorrow. LIBRARIES Central Rappahannock Regional Library and Caroline Library will be closed today and tomorrow. Smoot Library will be closed tomorrow.MAIL SERVICES Post offices will be closed tomorrow. No delivery except Express Mail. TRANSPORTATION All area bus lines and the Virginia Railway Express will run a limited schedule today and will not run tomorrow. The FREDericksburg Regional Transit will not run today or tomorrow.
