Thanks, Mr. Milde, for work on Crow's Nest

Thanks, Mr. Milde, for work on Crow's Nest

It is encouraging to see that one of Stafford's crown jewels, and one of our nation's richest Native American historical sites, Crow's Nest, is moving toward permanent protection. We owe much of that to the hard work of Supervisor Paul Milde.

The talk from critics that the portion being preserved is not valuable is not true and is counterproductive. Sometimes it seems Democrats are more concerned with who gets credit rather than with doing what's right.

Supervisor Milde negotiated terms that will cost the taxpayers little yet will yield huge benefits in preserving Crow's Nest's beauty and history.

I thank Supervisor Milde for all of his hard work. He has helped preserve a legacy for our county for years to come.

Hillary Morton Stafford

Cost tacpayers little money - What are you taking? (posted by WeimCity , Jan. 11, 2008 2:06 pm)
Sorry but Stafford taxpayers will be responsible for paying the whole principle and interest for these mega-loans! It was not grant money paid for this fiasco. Stafford Board of Supervisors should have conducted a voter referendum to determine if Stafford really wanted to buy it. Save Crow's Nest supporters should have bought the property outright - it's what they want. I want a Million Dollar home overlooking water - Will the Stafford BOSs buy me one? It is the same issue as Crow's Nest -only personal

Hogwash.........All he did was pony up (posted by Justice1 , Jan. 11, 2008 8:55 am)
taxpayer dollars. If the deal was good, the taxpayers wouldnt foot the bill. It would be purchased by some conservation group by privately donated funds, BUT NO, the quickest way to salvation is to tax the people. BAD DEAL ALL AROUND.
