Computer technician discovers child porn
Police briefs
Date published: 1/25/2008
A computer repairman called police last week after he found child pornography on a machine he was fixing.
According to a search warrant filed Wednesday, the technician doing repairs stumbled across files he suspected to be child pornography and called police.
When a Spotsylvania County detective arrived, they went back through the steps the technician had taken and came across several files and opened one called "just boys," according to the warrant.
The warrant further states that the file included pictures of young boys and "some of the pictures the boys had no clothing and were appearing in sexual poses with genitals exposed."
The service ticket for the computer said the name Michael Tilliman. Tilliman was then charged with possession of child pornography.

I have to disagree with you here, this guy had no better expectation of privacy than if he called someone to fix his furnace next to his meth lab and expected them to not report it. As for the theory that the tech could have added the files himself, the investigation should be able to determine when they were added easily enough.
So the end justifies the means

I am really proud of those of you who say that the right to privacy exists only for some people and then only under special circumstances. My point was not the scumbag nor what he had on his PC.
You give up your rights too easily because you don't know what the real consequnces are, that is obvious.
Note to Longinstafford. I am not an idiot, and if I were you wouldn't be smart enough to figure it out judging by your remarks. You can give up your rights if you want to, but don't infringe on mine.
Really john1315?

You thought the kid who called the administrator was wrong
but defend this guy having child porn on a computer that
he took in to have fixed. So I guess when someone does
something that is annoying it's wrong, but doing something
illegal is ok and should have an expectation of privacy while
doing it. I have as much sympathy for this guy as the idiots
who are caught by Dateline.
Once again dopey liberals rear their heads

Kudos to the tech for snooping. Brickbats to the idiot called freedomfirst who thinks that the perverts "rights" are more important than the kids that were the targets of this disgusting little creep. Forget his rights and just lock him up and throw the key away. He forfeited any human rights considerations when he decided to dabble in child porn.
we should waterboard him and find out the source of his sick photo and anyone involed.
