Molest charges advance in court
Molestation case involving woman and girl sent to grand jury
Date published: 1/31/2008

BY KEITH EPPS

A charge against a woman accused of drugging and molesting a teenage girl has been sent to a Fredericksburg grand jury.

Lena Wright, 28, of Fredericksburg is charged with aggravated sexual battery. She waived a scheduled preliminary hearing yesterday in Fredericksburg Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court.

Prosecutor LaBravia Jenkins dropped three related charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

But Jenkins is likely to reinstate the charges in Circuit Court.

Wright was arrested in December after the parents of a James Monroe High School student complained to police.

According to city police, three James Monroe students regularly walked from school to Wright's nearby home in the 1700 block of Washington Avenue.

Wright was a friend of one of the girl's parents.

The incident that led to the charges occurred sometime a number of weeks before it was reported.

The girls, ages 15 and 16, spent the night at the home and Wright provided them with alcohol, according to the complaint.

The girl who police said was sexually assaulted was also given a tablet that left her unconscious. The girl reported that she woke up naked and her friends told her they'd seen Wright removing her clothes and sexually assaulting her.

The girl was not the one whose family was associated with Wright.

Wright is still being held without bond in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Not to be rude, but she drugged a girl and sexually assaulted her while she was unconscious. The girl didn't even know what happened. It was my daughter who discovered the scenario and informed the girl. If you have information that I don't, send it to legal(at)csted.com, otherwise, can't comprehend how you could lend this woman any support at all.

If what has been reported in the paper is the truth, then what difference does it make what the reason was? There is no justification. It was a sick, selfish act. End of story. Hopefully she will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

if there is more than what is reported. She gave drugs and alcohol to a minor. Is that not wrong? She had sexual relations with a minor. Is that not wrong? Cut her some slack? Give me a break. She should be imprisoned.

Alot More Then makes The Paper (posted by Twlight2008 , Jan. 31, 2008 2:07 pm)    0 likes
This is the kind of reporting that makes me so angry , There is way more to this story then what makes the paper , People Dont hear about everything , Just enough so that it will completley Destroy someone's reputation. Yes what happend was wrong , But I believe that there is more then meets the eye here , Just dont jump to conclusions , Because the Media tells you to !!
