Abortion diminishes the human community

I would like to give a hearty "amen" to Linda White's March 2 column, "No equivocation: Tell it like it is, World War II-style."

Jesus said you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. Truth is never relative. By its nature, it is always absolute. Otherwise, it is a lie wherein integrity is compromised, making principles and morals meaningless and uncertain. God condemns those who would call evil good and good evil.

When an aborted baby is murdered, its life is cruelly snuffed out, and its death is justified by calling it a fetus.

This miracle of procreation, blessed by God, is just a mass to be destroyed and removed by its progenitors without guilt or consequence.

It is semantically called "choice"--something the precious gift of life does not have and its mother exercises absolutely.

It is ironic that this evil and shameless practice is condoned by a society whose very existence is dependent upon the continuity and sanctity of life.

How long can we live a lie and continue destroying the seed of life without ourselves becoming inconsequential?

John Donne said it best: "No man is an island, entire of itself any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind; and therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."
