Thomas J. Ross II has joined the Warrenton law practice of Blair D. Howard, Paul A. Morrison and Christopher T. Whelan, forming a new firm named Howard, Morrison, Ross & Whelan.
Smith-Midland in Fauquier County was awarded the prestigious CUP award for a building project completed with its Slenderwall precast concrete panel system by the National Precast Concrete Association's awards program on the creative use of precast. The company is currently involved in a Department of Defense project at a military facility near Virginia Beach.
Stephanie McMillan of The Hearing Aid Place on Princess Anne Street recently attended the 12th annual convention sponsored by the American Hearing Aid Associates in Orlando, Fla. She has owned the business since 2006.
Virginia Community Bank has hired longtime Fredericksburg resident Rebecca Morris as branch manager and consumer lender at its Fredericksburg branch. Ben Hall has been hired as the Fredericksburg branch commercial loan officer and assistant vice president.
