Elwood Walker
Elwood Walker, 78, of Woodford died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Bowling Green Healthcare Center. Born in Caroline County, Mr. Walker was a truck mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Cordella Walker of Woodford; three sons, Leonard, Quinton and Elwood Jr.; seven daughters, Bernadette, Larraine, Deborah, Sharon, Teresa, Martha and Lurene; one brother, Flemming Walker of Fredericksburg; 19 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at Macedonia Community Baptist Church, Woodford, with the Rev. Carroll Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Bailey Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The body also may be viewed one hour prior to the service time Saturday at the church.
