A Maryland man was killed Tuesday evening in Spotsylvania County when an air compressor he was installing on a truck fell on his head and killed him, police said yesterday.
Gerardo Sanchez-Luizaga, 37, of Germantown, Md.--who was originally from Bolivia--was found dead around 7:52 p.m. by co-workers at Our Way Services on Filter Lane, said Lt. Eddie Peck of the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office.
"Co-workers heard a noise and a loud scream," Peck said.
But by the time they got to Sanchez-Luizaga, he was dead.
Sanchez-Luizaga was an employee at the service company, Peck said.
