Fifth graders take over Lewis and Clark Elementary on Tuesday. 
Date published: 4/7/2008 A new begining for fifth graders in Caroline County today. The new Lewis and Clark Elementary opens it's doors partially to 180 of them from Ladysmith Elementary on Tuesday. Workers, administrators, the school's new principal and teachers worked for months to help make it happen. Though the K through 5 students don't come until this fall, the move is to help with the transition. The next couple of months there is designed to let the teachers and principal get used to the school and its state of the art technology. Parents and students alike seem pleased with the change. Comments range from the spacious classrooms and gym to the soundproof music room and new playground equipment. Listen to Deirdre Blake's story
