Ball, Medina lead Essex to victory

Malcolm Ball and Eduardo Medina each had two goals and an assist in Essex's 5-1 Northern Neck District boys soccer win against visiting Washington & Lee last night.

Weston Shropshire added a score and two assists and Colby Norton registered one assist for the Trojans (6-1, 2-0), who visit Lancaster tomorrow.

JM 3, Manassas Park 2

Floran Borbeau, Nate Naughton and Patrick Culberson each scored once and James Monroe hung on for a win at Maury stadium last night in the second game of a boys-girls doubleheader.

Hector Camacho and Robbie Davis earned assists for the Yellow Jackets (2-2-1), who entertain Spotsylvania tonight.
