Carly Sullivan, Kayla Bush and Joanna DeBrouse had a goal and an assist each in visiting Riverbend's 3-0 Commonwealth District girls soccer win at Albemarle last night.

Heather Haag made six saves and Sally Epling led the defense for the Bears (4-1, 4-1), who entertain Colonial Forge tonight.

BOYS SOCCER

essex 6, lancaster 0

Malcolm Ball scored three goals, Weston Shropshire had three assists, and Ben Swinson collected the shutout as Essex beat Lancaster last night.

The Trojans (7-1) play Mathews tomorrow.

BOYS LACROSSE

albemarle 8, brooke point 3

Spencer Scott scored two goals and Hunter Kowall added one, as Brooke Point lost to Albemarle last night.

Brooke Point (3-5) plays at Colonial Forge on Tuesday.
