Something's wrong with this picture

The politician is enjoying his $10,000-a-ticket fundraiser for his campaign to get the job of president, to represent the people.

The average working man is paying $4 a gallon for gas to get to his job to earn his living.

The end results: The politician gets his job as president to represent the people. The average working man, unable to buy gas to get to work, loses his job.

The politician moves to Washington, D.C.; he gets a new home and trips abroad.

The average working man moves to the street and becomes homeless.

As Earl Pitts would say, "Wake up, America."

Bobby Reamy

Whatever happended to the day when a someone was SENT to Washington to represent us. He went kicking and screaming because the only thing he was going to get out of it was a better country. Elected Senators and Reps SHOULD NOT BE PAID, much less get annual raises. THey should apply for stipend and be awarded a living allowance that the avg household lives on, IF HE QUALIFIES for it. The last I checked about 450 of our elected federal reps were multimillionaires.
