Belmont North hearing delayed

A public hearing for a 526-home rezoning application in Caroline County originally scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled for Aug. 12.

Area developer Frank Sealy and his wife, Linda, want to rezone 186 acres near the Belmont subdivision in Carmel Church for a new Belmont North subdivision. The proposal would rezone property from rural preservation to residential use for single-family homes, villas, town homes and age-restricted villas.
