Caroline supervisors defer cell-tower vote
Last night officials in Caroline County agreed to defer action on a permit which would allow a new telecommunications tower near the future State Fair site.
National Communication Towers LLC wants to install a 195-foot-high tower along Route 602 in the Reedy Church District before the fair's anticipated opening next year. Company representatives said if the tower is built, it will improve cellular service along State Route 30 and U.S. 301.
Another telecommunications tower is planned for Hanover County near the fair site. The Board of Supervisors wants to know what the benefits are for a Caroline tower. According to county staff reports, the Planning Commission and staff have advised against the new tower.
How come they can't make these towers look like Pine trees?(posted by

In other cities the towers look like Pine Trees and blend in. If it works there why not here? Too many Cell towers blot the skyline. All the new Cell towers should look like trees.
