Don't waste your vote on Nader
This is in response to Monica Johnson's letter, in which she says she is going to vote for Ralph Nader because she doesn't want to waste her vote ["Ralph Nader will have my vote this fall," July 29]. That is exactly what she is doing, since he has no chance of winning. If she throws her vote away, she may help elect the most evil of the candidates, Sen. Obama. Russell Cuddy Summerfield, Fla.
and not to others. It's your vote. It's up to you what you do with it.
You should actually encourage more folks to vote for Nader or any other candidate if for no other reason to send a message to the two ruling parties that we are all fed up with the special interests that rule them and our country and are willing to do what we can about it with our vote.
Voting for Nader helps McCain, not Obama. Even stupider comments from Nader/McCain defenders. One group wastes their vote on an egomaniac who can't win -- the other backs an older, crankier version of Bush. Yeah, makes a lot of sense.
I'm pretty much on the fence with MarkS in that every person should vote or just shut up when things aren't going their way. Think of all the servicemen/servicewomen killed in the last six years. I bet they'd want you to vote!
Switch to decaf and get a grip! I said please! Didn't your momma teach you not to call other people names?
