Caroline Chamber changes
Caroline Chamber of Commerce has new office, civic awardDate published: 8/10/2008 BY COREY BYERS Last week the Caroline County Chamber of Commerce moved from Bowling Green to a new office in Ladysmith. Kim Napier, a secretary for the chamber, said the group wanted to expand its offices in their old location on North Main Street but did not have enough space. After unsuccessful attempts to secure a new location in Bowling Green, the group found a place in Ladysmith. The new address is 18067 Jefferson Davis Highway; the office is on the second floor. Also new for the chamber this year is an award recognizing civic service for someone who does not expect recognition for their work. Recipients must be chamber members or employees of a member. The award is scheduled to be presented at a 30th-anniversary gala at Mattaponi Springs Golf Club in October.
