Everett M. Layton
Everett M. Layton, 81, of Fredericksburg died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at Mary Washington Hospital. Mr. Layton served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and later retired from the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Frieda G. Layton; two sisters, Goldie Irene Fridley of Orange County and Leoma Willis of Florida; and three loving nieces, Barbara Hunt of Charleston, W.Va., and Joyce McCartney and Donna Williams, both of Orange. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 3, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery with military honors.
