It didn't take a Circuit City manager long to figure out that something was amiss when a man and woman tried to return a television to the Central Park store for a refund.
The television had been stolen from the Rent-A-Center in Park and Shop Shopping Center and still had that store's barcode on the unopened box, police said.
The man left before police arrived Friday afternoon, Fredericksburg police spokes-woman Natatia Bledsoe said. But the woman--apparently still hopeful of getting an undeserved refund--was still there.
Tiffany Corinealdi, 20, of Pittsburgh, Pa., was charged with grand larceny, conspiracy to commit larceny, attempting to obtain money by false pretenses and larceny with the intent to distribute.
She was placed in the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
Bledsoe said the manager from Rent-A-Center didn't realize that the television had been pilfered until being contacted by police.
But he recognized the television and the woman when he arrived at Circuit City after being contacted by police. He told police the woman had been in his store earlier Friday.
Bledsoe said police still don't know who the male suspect is.

Hard to believe since the deliveries there are typically made in the rear of the store. Something doesn't add up here. Could it be an inside job? Being in shipping and receiving, I check my packing lists as soon as the deliveries are made. What's up here?
what else is in the grab bag ?
