Body of missing Orange man found in pond Date published: 12/17/2008

An Orange County man who had been missing for almost two weeks apparently drowned after his truck overturned in a pond, state police said yesterday. The body of Jonathan Browne, 27, was found Monday afternoon off Pine Lake Road in the Rhoadesville area, state police Sgt. Les Tyler said. A hunter in the area saw Browne's pickup in a pond and notified the Orange County Sheriff's Office. Deputies found Browne in his Toyota Tacoma, which was overturned and mostly submerged in the pond, Tyler said. The state police spokesman said the truck apparently ran off a gravel road that ran through a wooded area north of Rhoadesville and rolled down an embankment into the water. Preliminary findings from an autopsy performed yesterday at the state medical examiner's facility in Northern Virginia indicated the death was an accidental drowning, Tyler said. Margaret Tanner, Browne's mother, had reported her son missing after he didn't return home on Dec. 3. Robin Knepper: 540/972-5701
I'm glad they found him so his family can know what happened, but what a sad ending. My heart goes out to the Browne family.
Thanks GOD for hunters who are able to stuble across these kind of mishaps.
