Please, no Wal-Mart in the Wilderness
As loyal Wal-Mart shoppers, we are writing to urge our favorite store not to proceed with their plans to build near the Wilderness Battlefield in Virginia. Having lived in that area for a number of years, where Tom served as pastor of the Wilderness Baptist Church, we can attest to the unique historic importance and rugged beauty of that area, which earned it the name "Wilderness." While we respect the desire of Wal-Mart to increase its presence in that area of Virginia, we join with others who would be disappointed should company executives turn a deaf ear to the many historians and local residents who believe the character of the Wilderness area would be diminished by the presence of a Wal-Mart so nearby. The Rev. Thomas A. and Raleigh, N.C.
i have lived in the area all my life, we don't need 500 walmarts in a 10 mile radius of each other people, if you will remember that safeway did basically the same thing and they ended up closing, and foodlion did it as well and they aren't doing too well either. if you are too lazy to go an extra couple miles then you need to look into ordering online that way you never have to leave your house!!!!!
With 10 stores closer than the Walmart will be,Why do you
fight Walmart. It will not be on wilderness land. It is always
the people like you that live out of the county or state
that want to fight it.Some of the people have not been to
the Rt.20 and Rt.3 area since it has grown up.
Why DON'T YOU TWO STICK TO SOMETHING YOU MAY
KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT.
yes please bring walmart in we need you walmart
