The Constitution gives the people control

This is in response to Joe Sucha's and Charles Stinnett's letters to the editor ["Kidnapping is OK, but gun ownership is not!" Jan. 29, and "Second Amendment guarantees other nine," Feb. 5].

Thank you for pointing out what all Americans should know and understand about the Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

The greatest document ever conceived of and put to paper for all to see, the Constitution is a document by which the people restrain and control the government, not the other way around.

And I am one of those determined patriots who would stand up to, and against, a rogue government and its agents.
