Scholar Frank E. Grizzard will take part in a "stump the expert" event at 2 p.m. today at George Washington Birthplace National Monument. The date of his talk was incorrect in a story Thursday.

Scott Boyd, chief of staff of the Sons of Confederate Veterans' Matthew Fontaine Maury Camp in Fredericksburg, said photos of the 2007 excavation work at the former Maury School showed workers did not dig deeper than 12 to 18 inches. He said this would not have disturbed the graves of the 51 Confederate soldiers, who were buried deeper. A story last Sunday incorrectly reported his comments about the depths of the graves.

U.S. Sen. Frank R. Lautenberg, D-N.J., introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate to close a so-called "gun show loophole." His title was incorrect in a story Friday.
