Germanna to hold 'green jobs' event

Germanna Community College will play host to a conference on "green jobs" Tuesday at the Joseph R. Daniel Technology Center on the school's Culpeper County campus.

The event will occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. It's called "Making & Saving Money through Green Technology." Presentations and breakout sessions will cover weatherization, tax credits, alternative energy sources, green homes and buildings, and energy-efficient construction.

The conference costs $20, which includes lunch. To register, call 540/937-2900.
