Blue Devils tap Williams as their new head coach

The Culpeper County School Board approved Michael Williams as the new football coach at Culpeper High School last night.

Williams, a graduate of Emory & Henry College, was the head coach of Rappahannock High School the past two seasons.

Before that, he was the head coach at Holston High in Damascus for six seasons.

Williams will be a science teacher at Culpeper. He has 11 years of teaching experience.

Williams and Culpeper athletic director Billy Thornhill couldn't be reached for comment last night.
