Ashley N. Bryant

God called Ashley Nicole Bryant home on Monday, June 22, 2009. She was born March 12, 1987, in Woodbridge, to James and Pamela Bryant. She was a resident of Locust Grove, and a graduate of Orange County High School.

Ashley was employed at Evergreene Nursing Care Center in Stanardsville. She was a CNA and her greatest joy was caring for the elderly and listening to their life histories. She also enjoyed composing and writing poetry and sonnets. She was a loving and caring daughter and friend. She was petite in stature, but had a mighty impact on all who knew her to all who loved her. She will be remembered and cherished for her sweetness and caring ways.

Ashley is survived by her loving parents, James and Pamela Bryant; a brother, James Bryant III; a sister and husband, Mandy and Andy Jenkins; a grandmother, Sally M. Creel; uncle and aunt Albert and Helen Creel; aunt and uncle Jeanie and Frankie Spears; aunt and uncle Judy and Carl White; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her sister Melissa M. Melendez; grandfather and grandmother James and Betty Bryant; and grandfather Albert Creel Sr.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, with the Rev. Albert L. Creel III officiating.
