Bettie L. Peyton
Bettie L. Peyton, 73, of Colonial Beach died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at Westmoreland Rehabilitation and Heathcare Center. She is survived by five sons, Donald, Sterling, Charles, William and Joseph; six daughters, Violet, Emma, Phyllistine, Brenda, Bertha and Ruby; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchilderen; and two great-great-grandchildren. She also is survived by one sister, Rosie Richards, and one brother, James Peyton. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Good Hope Baptist Church, King George, with the Rev. Robert Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are by Cedell Brooks Funeral Home, Port Royal.
