Peggy C. Painter
Peggy Carter Painter, 75, of Rhoadesville, formerly of Alexandria, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at her residence. She is survived by her husband William "Possum" Painter; her children, Rebecca Pugh and her husband, Paul, and Lee Jenkins and his wife, Laurie; and grandchildren Andrew Jenkins, Chad Renner, Corrie and David Sirkin, Joshua and Julie Johnston, and Brian Johnston. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove. A funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24, at the funeral home. A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at Mount Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the Hospice of the Rapidan, Box 1715, Culpeper, Va. 22701.
