Mr. and Mrs. Jay F. Chamberlain of Fredericksburg are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Maggi Chamberlain, to Mr. Travis Birdsell, son of Mrs. Rick Gardner of Grassy Creek, N.C., and Mr. Edward Birdsell of States-ville, N.C.
Miss Chamberlain received her Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics from the University of Delaware. She is working as a registered dietitian for obesity prevention and diabetes education.
Mr. Birdsell received his Bachelor of Science degree in horticulture/landscape design from North Caroline State University. He is working as director of environmental systems for Eco-Green LLC.
The couple is planning a May 2010 wedding.
