I was intrigued when I read about the wide variety of candidates running for the Stafford County Board of Supervisors this year.
While I believe that having a choice of candidates is important, this is one instance where quality trumps quantity.
I have done my homework and looked at each of the candidates in the Aquia District. While all three have very interesting and impressive backgrounds, I want someone who is looking to make our community whole again.
Preservation of a tract of land and a clean-money campaign are both admirable platforms, but how do these help my family today?
I believe we need a representative who will put our children, their education, their future, and their safety first and foremost.
A proven friend of our schools and a staunch advocate for public safety, Irene Egan is exactly who Stafford County needs right now to keep this community family-friendly and, above all else, safe. The choice for me is obvious.
