Cupkas celebrate 60th wedding anniversary
Mr. & Mrs. Paul A. Cupka Sr. of Spotsylvania County celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary Aug. 27. A celebration was held in their honor at their youngest son's home in Roanoke on Aug. 29. In attendance were the couple's six children, Darien Cupka of Kiowa, Colo., Rod Cupka of Richmond, Cherie Wiltshire of Rockville, Va., Paul Cupka Jr. of Stafford, Lauren Walker of Alexandria and Greg Cupka of Roanoke, as well as most of the couple's 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Paul A. Cupka Sr. retired from the federal government at the Pentagon in 1988, and Eleanor "Ellie" Cupka retired from Durham Life Insurance Co. in 1987. Though now retired, Mr. and Mrs. Cupka continue their devotion to their family as active and involved parents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
