Positive 'change' can occur without big government

In the new Obama era, why must "change" apply only to government control?

In this whole health care debate, change takes on the face of expanded government power and universal health care. Any other proposal is either ignored or shunned because it does not involve big government.

There are several health care proposals coming out of Congress that would make real progress and should be heard.

Recently, I read about Rep. Rob Wittman's support of a plan that addressed the need to help those with pre-existing health struggles that did not rely on government-controlled health care.

It would also protect those who are currently on private plans who could lose their insurance if government-controlled health care came into play.

Rep. Wittman and other like-minded leaders need to be heard concerning the health care debate. They have good ideas.

Just because an idea does not require big government does not mean the idea cannot deliver change.
