John W. Rust Jr.
On Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, John Whitney Rust Jr., 24, passed away peacefully at his home in Stafford County, after a four-year battle with bone cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Cynthia Din Rust, and his mother and father, Mary B. Rust and John W. Rust Sr. John was a 2004 graduate of Brooke Point High School, Stafford County, and Killington Mountain School in Vermont. His ashes will be scattered along the shores of his treasured Potomac River and in the mountains of Utah on an epic powder day. In lieu of flowers, donations to an educational fund in John's memory may be made at www.johnrust.org. Time and location of memorial services will be announced at a later date.
