William I. Tuppings
William Iva Tuppings, 78, of Center Cross departed this life Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, in a Richmond hospital. He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Reed and husband William of Montross; one son, Sylvester Tuppings and wife Angie of Center Cross; one sister, Mabel Taylor and husband James of Stevesville; and one brother, Raleigh Tuppings of Center Cross. A viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at Union Hope Baptist Church, Center Cross, and one hour before the service to be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 19, at the church, with the Rev. Alvin Hargrove, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Service of comfort is entrusted to Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock.
