Please, no more money for cheating ACORN!

September 25, 2009 12:36 am

The more I watch the undercover ACORN tapes, the more disturbing they become ["Obama suggests probe of ACORN warranted," Sept. 21].

The apparent ease with which ACORN workers in the Baltimore video and also the Washington video discuss the subjects of concealing and aiding prostitution and tax cheating makes one wonder just how often they have given illegal advice to people who have come to their offices without hidden cameras.

The makers of these undercover tapes stopped too soon; they should also have gone to Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia, and Boston.

I'll bet Washington and Baltimore were not the only places where ACORN was handing out advice on how to conceal illegal activities.

The makers of the concealed videos should be applauded for their efforts. Because of them, ACORN will not have a part in conducting the 2010 census, something they should not have been involved in to begin with, illegal activities or not.

ACORN should also not receive any more federal stimulus funding, and should be required to give back that which they have already received.
