Broadduses celebrate 60th anniversary
Jean Frances Drummond and Woodford Bates Broaddus were married Aug. 6, 1949, at Painter-Garrison United Methodist Church on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. Mrs. Broaddus is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lynwood C. Drummond of Painter, Va., and Mr. Broaddus is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodford S. Broaddus of Bagby, Va., in Caroline County. The Broadduses have five children: Woodford E. Broaddus, Mary B. Hunley, Lynwood D. Broaddus, Susan B. Huffman, and John C. Broaddus. They have eight grandchildren: Angela B. Copp, Jean Maria Broaddus, Stephanie H. Sutton, Bates Broaddus, Heather Hunley, Joy H. Wright, Candace Broaddus and Tommy Huffman. They are also blessed with four great-grandchildren: Sydney Copp, MacKenzie Copp, Abby Wright and Kelsey Sutton. Mr. and Mrs. Broaddus live on Springhill Farm in Bagby.
