Noel W. Prince

Noel W. Prince, 96, of Ruther Glen died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Hazel M. Prince.

A World War II Army veteran, he served in the 3rd Armored Division and was a POW in Germany. He retired after many years as a bus driver for Greyhound. Noel was a member of Kilwinning-Crosse Masonic Lodge 2-237 AF&AM and a charter member of the Ladysmith Ruritan Club.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Carol Prince of Ruther Glen; his granddaughter, Amy Philbrick, and three great-grandchildren, Pierce, Mckinley and Wilson Philbrick, all of Lowville, N.Y.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct, 4, in the chapel of Storke Funeral Home, Bowling Green. Burial with military honors will follow in Carmel Baptist Church cemetery, Ruther Glen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, with a Masonic service beginning at 7 p.m.
