Retired Army Lt. Col. and Mrs. Jack D. Oden of Leesburg, Va., are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Ashley, to Joseph Bernard Kane III, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph B. Kane II of Jersey City, N.J.
Megan is an honor graduate of North Stafford High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in recreation, park and tourism sciences from Texas A&M University. After an internship with the Texas state legislature, Megan found her dream job at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. There she met her Prince Charming, Joe.
Joe graduated from Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Caldwell College. Joe taught math to eighth-graders for several years before pursuing his dream of moving to the Sunshine State. In Florida, Joe met and fell in love with his Princess while sharing their passion for Disney. He is now teaching math in Florida.
The couple will exchange vows April 10, 2011, in Orlando.
