>> REDSKINS RUN OFFENSE VS. BUCS DEFENSE

The Redskins aren't running the ball well, and Tampa Bay isn't stopping the run. Something has to give. Even if RB Clinton Portis plays, expect backups Ladell Betts and Marcus Mason to be involved. Tampa Bay is allowing 5.2 yards per carry and has surrendered more than 200 rushing yards each of the last two weeks.

>> REDSKINS PASS OFFENSE VS. BUCS DEFENSE

Opponents aren't passing that often against Tampa Bay because the run is so effective. Still, coach Jim Zorn might insist on passing against a defense that surrendered four pass plays of 40-plus yards in Week 1. The Bucs will blitz defensive backs, which should give QB Jason Campbell chances for big plays if protection holds up.

>> BUCS RUN OFFENSE VS. REDSKINS DEFENSE

After Detroit's Kevin Smith rushed for 101 yards on only 16 carries last week, we're adjusting our expectations for the Redskins' defense. Blockers are getting to Washington's linebackers too frequently. A disclaimer, though: If top Bucs RB Derrick Ward doesn't play, that would tip the scales in Washington's favor. QB Josh Johnson is a threat to run.

>> BUCS PASS OFFENSE VS. REDSKINS DEFENSE

An inexperienced quarterback shouldn't succeed against Washington's defense, or so we thought last week. Fact is, though, that Johnson has had only a week to prepare. He'll face a more aggressive Redskins pass-rushing scheme under "maverick" defensive coordinator Greg Blache. Expect Washington to confuse Johnson with multiple looks and force a turnover or two.

FINAL SCORE: REDSKINS 20, BUCCANEERS 10
